How to Fold a Piece of Paper Into a Heart
Whether for Valentine's Day, wedding anniversary, Mother's Day or just to show someone special that you care, a paper heart sends a loving message.Make these special by using colored paper, writing a special message with a gel pen and/or adding glitter. Does this Spark an idea?

Fold the piece of paper in half lengthwise.

Fold the paper one more time in half lengthwise.

With the open edges of the paper facing away from you fold the small edges together forming a rectangle half the length. This creates a crease that can be used to make sure the heart shape stays even. Open the piece of paper back up showing crease in the middle.

Fold the right side of the paper up to form a right angle using the crease in the middle as a guide. The edge of the right angle should touch the crease.

Fold the left side up to form a right angle. Each side should look the same with a triangle at the bottom and two rectangles facing up..

Turn the paper over so the folded side is facing down.

Holding the right rectangle, fold it down so it forms a right angle and rest against the long edge of the triangle. Repeat on the left side.

Fold each of these flaps down and in to form the top of the heart.

Tuck those ends into the top of the triangle.

Tape down the flaps and you have finished your heart!

Tips & Warnings
Practice until you feel confident in making the angles and are able to form a heart.
Experiment with different types of paper.
Lighter weight paper works better than construction paper.
