How to Beat the Safehouse Level in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
In previous levels of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, you fought against the terrorist armies of a warlord named Al-Asad, only to have him elude you time and time again. It's time to finally take this man out of the war. In the Safehouse level of Call of Duty 4, you will search a small compound believed to be hiding Al-Asad himself. Heavy fire and poor visibility make up most of the action in this level--you'll need a clear goal, a quick trigger and some fast feet to survive.

1
Follow your team from the insertion point to the village. You will be in full stealth mode here. Engage only when you can be sure of a quick victory.
- 2
-
-
3
Go from room to room, clearing out enemies and looking for Al-Asad. You will have to physically enter every room on both levels of the house and the cellar.
-
4
Listen for Captain Price to declare the house clear.
-
5
Take up a position where you can see your next objective--the church on the other side of the dirt path --and call in helicopter support. Target a spot between the church and small ridge near the middle of the village. This will ensure fire both on the church and on enemies attacking from deeper within the village.

-
7
Take out the enemies in the church as quickly as possible. There are few rooms in the church, so it will not take long to clear. You will receive word form the pilot that he needs to re-fuel and re-arm.
-
8
Take a position in one of the windows in the church. It's important to take out as many enemies as possible while you wait for your air support to return. Endless waves of enemy reinforcements will replace the ones you take down, but if you don't keep them at bay they will overwhelm the church and force their way inside. You won't stand a chance if they do.
-
9
Once your chopper is back online, target a position that will allow you to get to the next building in one piece.
-
10
Clear the remaining three buildings in the village, using your air support every time you have to move from one to the other. There are two houses and a barn. You can tackle these in any order you'd like, but it's best to take out the cabin on the highest level of the village last. Once you are done follow your squad to farm that sits a bit apart from the village.
-
11
Take over the buildings here exactly as you have every other building. You may even find a certain high-level enemy commander inside the barn...

Tips & Warnings
You have to clear every house in the village until you find Al-Asad, and a house is only clear if you check every room and the house is declared clear by Captain Price.
You will run into enemy armor in this level. While you could take them out with C4, your helicopter can do so with much less risk to everyone involved.
When entering a building for the first time, go in with your rifle-mounted grenade launcher armed and ready. It can make short work of an entire room of targets.
Only try moving between buildings when you have full air support. It's possible to get across the space between buildings at a sprint, but odds are you will fail more times than you succeed.
Be sure you aren't in your chopper's line of fire. It can't distinguish you from the enemy forces, and its bullets are just as lethal to you.
