How to Make Herbal Bath Salts for Purification

Purifying baths help to ease the body and mind of stress and tension. Purification baths work wonders for relaxing the muscles and drawing out impurities. Some use the purification bath before ritual. Others may use such a bath before meditation, or to just relax. For the purpose of this How To, we will cover a simple recipe for making herbal bath salts for purification.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Mortar and pestle
  • 1/8 cup sea salt
  • 1/4 cup sage
  • 1/4 cup juniper
  • 1/4 cup rowan
  • bowl made from natural material (ie: wood)
  • glass jar with lid
  1. Step 1

    Using the mortar and pestle crush the sea salt, sage, juniper and rowan individually.

  2. Step 2

    After you crush each ingredient, place the herbs and salt in a wooden bowl.

  3. Step 3

    Once you have all ingredients in the bowl, mix them together by hand. As you mix the ingredients together imbue them with positive energies.

  4. Step 4

    After you have mixed the ingredients pour the blended salts into a glass jar and affix the lid.

  5. Step 5

    Store the jar of salts as you would any other herbs. Be sure that you store the bath salts away from moisture.

Tips & Warnings
  • Adjust recipe to suit.
  • If storing bath salts for future use, add 1/4 cup baking soda to the mixture. (For other quantities, adjust to suit.)
