How to Download Audio and Video Files From MySpace for Free

People are always searching for easy ways to obtain the hottest songs and videos on the internet. Downloaded media can be added to portable players or simply enjoyed at home. MySpace offers both songs and videos from artists and TV shows. However, the website doesn't allow users to download every piece of media that is uploaded by other users. Don't let that stop you, though. Here is how to download audio and video files from MySpace for free.

Instructions

1. Log onto www.myspace.com.

2. Click on the “Music” tab at the top of the home page.

3. Type in the name of the artist you wish to search for in the box at the right of the MySpace Music screen under the “search artists” heading.

4. Select the artist you're searching for on the next page. After you search for an artist, pages of options will appear on the next web page. This is due to the fact that anybody can create a MySpace account with any name. Most likely, the artist you're searching for will be the first option available.

5. Make sure that there are songs listed in the MySpace media player. If there are, copy the URL of the artist in the address bar.

6. In a new internet browser, log onto http://file2hd.com/.

7. Paste the MySpace artist's URL into the “URL” box on the File2hd website.

8. Click the circle next to the “Audio” option if you're hoping to download music and the circle next to the “Movies” option if you're downloading videos.

9. Click the box next to “I have read and agree to the Terms of Service.”

10. Select the “Get Files” option next to the URL box.

11. Right click on the URL (or URLs if there is more than one song on the artist's MySpace page) found under the “Streaming Version (Low Quality)” and select “Save Link as.” You'll know which songs or videos are which as the title of the song or video will be at the end of the URL in all capital letters.

12. Save the file where you keep your music or wherever you wish to download this particular file. You can change the name of the file if you wish to do so, as well. Click the “Save” box and your song or video will begin to download to your computer.
