How to Make Personalized Garden Rocks

Everyone loves an attractive garden. While you are working to make your grass green, why not add some personalized rocks? Your neighbors are sure to ask where you bought them. They will make a great conversation piece and they will also add to the attraction of your yard. These rocks can be personalized using different colors. You can also use different size shapes. Try personalizing these rocks and giving them away as gifts.

Things You'll Need

• Smooth rocks
• Spray paint
• Craft knife
• Heavy paper
• Pencil
• Spray adhesive
• Stencil
• Newspaper

Instructions

1. Choose rocks of different shapes or colors. Wash each rock thoroughly. Let them sit and dry if necessary. You can even sit them in the sun so that they will dry properly.

2. Trace a design or letter in the center of your rock. You can even choose to write your family’s name or initial. After your design is complete, use the craft knife and cut around your design along your traced lines.

3. Remove the shape and discard the extra paper. This shape will be used as your stencil to place on your rock.

4. Spray the back of the paper cutout with your spray adhesive. Gather your first rock and place the stencil onto the rock. Place your rock on the newspapers to prepare your workspace. Ensure that the area is clean and well ventilated since you will be using spray paint. Spray the rock covering your template design. Apply a second coat of paint. Let the rocks dry thoroughly. Once the rock is dry, remove the stencil from the rock.

5. Place rock on display in your garden.
