Things You'll Need:
- aspirin, lemon juice, towel, pumice stone or emery board, plastic bag
-
Step 1
Grind six aspirin tablets into a powder. You can use a mortar and pestle for this, or put them in a sturdy freezer bag an smash them repeatedly with the bottom of a spoon.
-
Step 2
Add 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice, and 1/2 teaspoon of water.
-
Step 3
Stir the mixture together until you have a thick paste.
-
Step 4
Apply the paste to the calluses, and then wrap your foot in a warm towel, and then place it inside a plastic bag. The combination of the warmth and the paste will begin to break down the calluses.
-
Step 5
Leave your foot inside the bag for 15 minutes.
-
Step 6
Remove the bag and towel, the calluses will now be extremely soft. You can now file them down successfully with an emery board or pumice stone.
