The mess that a toddler can make during a meal can be staggering. From the debris left in the toddler's wake to the dirty highchair, you may not even know how to tackle this mess. Cleaning up after a meal is an everyday occurence. For this reason it is best to make it as quick and painless as possible. By doing so you will get to spend more time with your child than with cleaning up after him. Follow these easy steps to clean your highchair and enjoy the rest of your day.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 container all purpose kitchen spray cleaner
  • 1 roll of paper towels
  • 1 trash bag
  1. Step 1

Remove all large pieces of food that your toddler has left for you to clean up. Be sure to check all of the cracks and crevices of the chair to make sure you have thrown away all the leftovers. The last thing you will want is to find a piece of food in the highchair from a meal last week.

  2. Step 2

Take the tray off of the chair to be able to clean the actual seat and arm rests. Spray these areas with the all purpose spray cleaner. Wipe off the cleaner with the paper towels.

  3. Step 3

Repeat step 2 until all sections of the seat and arm rests of the highchair are clean.

  4. Step 4

Spray the tray with the all purpose kitchen spray. Use the paper towels to wipe clean all of the dirt off of the tray. Flip the tray over and clean the underside in the same way. Your child probably ended up getting food here as well when he ate.

  5. Step 5

Let the highchair air dry until the next mealtime for your toddler.

Tips & Warnings
  • Let the cleanser sit on stubborn stains to help with their removal.
  • Once a week use warm soapy water to clean your highchair from top to bottom.
  • Cleaning right after meals will make it easier to get food off. It will not have time to set.
  • Make sure to get all of the cleanser off before using the chair to feed your toddler.
