Deep Moisturize Your Skin

For a smooth complexion and a soft finish, prep your skin with moisturizers. If you use make-up, you will need less and if you don't wear make-up, your face and neck will be protected from the elements and look polished.

    Things You'll Need

    • Exfoliating product
    • Serum
    • Light Moisturizer
    • Heavy Moisturizer
    • Retin A

Exfoliate your skin at least two to three times a week. The best method I have found is to use an exfoliating kit made by Loreal. The effects are amazing.

Pineapple or papaya: mash fruit, apply to face and let dry. Rinse.
Oatmeal: Use instant or make from scratch, apply, let dry, rinse.

Use Biore strips or equal once a month to clean out oil and debris from pores.

Salicylic Acid cleansing pads normally used for acne are very good at exfoliating skin.

Soften your skin using a damp, moderately warm washcloth. Hold to your face and neck until pleasantly warm.

      • 3

Apply a serum to face and neck. Wait a few minutes, and apply a light moisturizer.

Now apply a heavier moisturizer sparingly. If needed, blot any excess away.

      • 5

Night Treatment. Retin A has been around a long time and I find it effective. It's available by prescription. It may not be for you because of the irritation it may cause, and you have to protect your skin from the sun. I think its worth it. There are milder formations available. Apply lightly.

    Tips & Warnings

    • Use only those moisturizers that will not break out your skin.

    • Experiment with how much moisturizer your skin needs.

    • Exfoliate as often as your skin will tolerate, ideally, two to three times a week.

    • Remove all makeup thoroughly each night.

    • Use a magnifying mirror to check skin for improvement and to scrutinize for breakouts every day.

    • Don't use this procedure if you have oily skin or experience negative results. Deep moisturizing is best for dry skin or mature skin.
