How to Paint a Body With an Airbrush

The art of airbrushing cosmetics adds a fresh new spin on makeup application. Skin makeup can be painted on via an airbrush to create subtle or dramatic results. Flawless skin can be achieved with results that are better than any traditional form of application can achieve. The ability to cover scars or blemishes is also possible by means of painting the body with an airbrush. Instead of using ordinary paints in your airbrush, you simply use liquid makeup. By watering down the contents, any shade or color of liquid makeup can be used to achieve a very flattering results. Very desirable for formal engagements, airbrushed makeup can also be worn everyday. With some practice, you will be able to paint any part of your body with makeup, and create a look to fit any of your moods.

Things You'll Need

• Liquid makeup
• Airbrush
• Compressor
• Electrical outlet
• Water
• Eyedropper

Instructions

1. Plug the compressor into an appropriate outlet.

2. Attach the airbrush to the compressor and test that air is being released into the airbrush by doing a test spray. Press the top button on the airbrush for the test spray.

3. Choose the desired liquid makeup color for use. For instance if you are applying a foundation color to the face, choose a natural tone. For eyes, you would choose something with more pigment.

4. Pour a small amount of the liquid makeup into the paint pot attached to the airbrush.

5. Add a few drops of water with the eyedropper until the makeup has a very watery consistency.

6. Spray the makeup on the area of your body that you wish to paint.

Tips & Warnings

• Any part of your body can be painted with the airbrush. You can use the makeup for any effect that you would normally create with paints.

• Be sure to completely liquefy any makeup that you put through the airbrush. The liquid must be smooth! Any lumps or chunks in your makeup will cause the brush to clog.
