As many people have know for the past twenty years or so is that the world of computers is forever expanding. The game systems that we now play are extensions of this. No system out there today is more like a computer than the Xbox by Microsoft. Many computer technicians realize that working in the computer field is not all that easy. Currently the market is flooded with thousands of people who are just as qualified as the next having gone through the same schooling. Being able to add Xbox Repair Technician to your resume can help a person get their foot in the door.

Step1
Take courses in computer repair and servicing including how to troubleshoot problems, how to build computers and how to fix personal computers.
Step2
Take apart a Xbox system and compare it side by side to the typical computers that you are learning about.
Step3
Go to the Microsoft website and review the information they provide for you in their learning center section and find the guide that deals with the Xbox system.
Step4
Read and memorize the guides while locating the parts and functions of the Xbox system you disassembled.
Step5
Put yourself and your guides to the test by buying broken Xbox systems and use your skills from your computer courses and your new found knowledge of the Xbox versus personal computers to troubleshoot and repair already defunct Xbox systems.
Step6
Take practice exams through the Microsoft web site and when you are ready locate an exam location and take the test to become a licensed Xbox repair technician.
