Try hiking. The best way to appreciate the size of the giant redwood trees would be seeing them up close by taking a hike through the "Redwood Canyon Trail". This trail is the easiest of the several trails scattered throughout the park. It consists of two 6 mile loops right through the grove of sequoia trees. You can plan to camp out for the night or the trail can be walked in the daytime.
