Being plus sized may cause you to think that you cannot wear a two piece bathing suit. Wrong. You can! There are an increasing number of styles and options that do not show the parts of your body that keep you from opting for a traditional two piece and these suits still provide the comfort and convenience of a two piece get-up.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Tank or dress style top
  • Skirt or shot style bottom
  • Wraps/cover-ups (optional)
  1. Step 1

Choose a top that is comfortable and does not accentuate any weight or feature you do not like and would prefer to conceal. For instance, you can get a tank top in place of the traditional bikini top. These may, or may not, come with under-wire support, so this is an issue of preference for you.

  2. Step 2

Choose a bottom that is comfortable and, like the top, does not accentuate any weight or feature you dislike. You can get a bottom piece that is comparable to shorts or a skirt in place of the traditional bikini bottom.

  3. Step 3

Wear an outer layer of clothing. If you cannot find these particular two piece options, you can always wear other thin clothing over the suit. Options for this include: Thin shirts, thin shorts and wraps around the waist work well. Even if you do find the bathing suit you like, some people like to have these accessories anyway.

Tips & Warnings
  • Mix and match top and bottom styles (not prints or patterns) until you find a suit that you like. Try to find those two style pieces in the same print or pattern. For instance, try a dress style top and a tank style top. Try the short and skirt style bottoms and pick your preference from each and that's the two piece for you!
