Cubicles seem like dark dreary places that you probably dread going to in the mornings. Make your cubicle a little more lively with some simple decorations and surround it with the people and things in life who mean the most to you.

      Brighten your darken cubicle with fun colorful frames or pictures. You can liven up your space without going overboard. Pick out your favorite themes such beach, nightlife or outdoors.

      Surround yourself with the people and things you love. Include a few pictures of your family, friends, or pets. It gives you something to look forward to at the end of the day. You will always know that you are going home to them.

      Organize your cubicle. Put out pencil holders in your favorite colors, along with post it notes, or a box for your incoming and outgoing mail. Find a funky calendar or one that you love, and use stickers to mark important dates.

      Include plenty of free oxygen. Decorate your cubicle with indoor plants or flowers. Bamboo are plants that are very easy to care for. Place them in water, and set them out on your desk. Plants are known to bring out creativity and relaxation.

      Comfort yourself. Add a seat cover for uncomfortable chairs, a footstool to prop sore feet on, or a pad around your keyboard to rest your wrists on from repeated typing. Include a rug to put under your desk for decoration. Download a comforting screen-saver that won't distract other co-workers. If you are not allowed to burn candles, use a candle warmer for your favorite scents. Make sure that your other co-workers won't mind smelling it, though. You could always use smaller candles that won't put out as much scent.

  • Don't let decorations distract your from your work. Leave out any kinds of decorations that might shine a lot of light or make noise. Remember, this is work so make it fun yet professional.

  • Make sure your decorations, candles or anything else won't distract or harm other co-workers. Try to keep everything within your own cubicle.
