Instructions

    • 1

Apply an exfoliating cream to the henna tattoo while in the shower. Scrub gently and rinse.

    • 2

Shower using a gentle scrubbing puff, not a regular wash cloth. This increases the exfoliation action.

    • 3

Apply extra moisturizing cream heavily to the henna tattoo several times a day and massage into the skin.

    • 4

Don’t allow the tattoo to dry. Keep it moist with vitamin E oil.

    • 5

Don’t cover the tattoo with clothing. The sun also works to fade the henna.

The moisturizer thing is a bit weird...yes, petroleum based moisturizers like most available commercially in drugstores will fade the henna... but natural moisturizers like shea butter and cocoa butter (like those in Artistic Adornment's henna blam) are great for keeping henna on LONGER. Exfoliating and scrubbing as often as you can are the only safe, useful things you can do.
