How to Make Pergo Floor Cleaner

If you have Pergo-type laminate flooring, you know that cleaners especially designed for Pergo can be pricey and hard to find. This easy-to-make alternative is both inexpensive and safe for the environment.

Things You'll Need:

• White vinegar
• Water
• Butterfly-type sponge mop
• Bucket

1. Purchase a good-sized container of white vinegar. Save money by buying in bulk at warehouse stores, especially if you wash your floors often.

2. Thoroughly sweep or vacuum the floor to be cleaned.

3. In a bucket, pour one part vinegar to five parts water.

4. Dip your mop in the bucket and after wringing it out thoroughly, mop the floor.

Tips & Warnings

• This cleaning formula can also be used on ceramic tile.
• Be sure to wring out the mop sufficiently, until the mop is no longer dripping.
• Make sure there are no puddles, or there will be spots or streaks when the floor dries.
