To be "emo" you need to be a deeply emotional individual. The typical emo dress code for boys is a pair of jeans on size too tight and a shirt that clings to your chest, if possible sporting the logo of your favorite emo band. You will also need to buy a black leather belt studded with silver spikes. If you are an emo girl you often dress in the same uniform emo boys do. You have black or dark brown hair and a classic emo cut covering 3/5ths of your face. You have pain and sometimes you just need to let it out.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start by putting on your favorite emo tune. recommended bands include Bright Eyes, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, and Panic! At The Disco. Make sure that the song has a scream in it.

  2. Step 2

When the emo scream in the song is approaching you will need to get into proper emo scream position. You will need to fall on your knees as if you are really feeling the music and really feeling the pain that the scream is.

  3. Step 3

Once the scream comes in the song throw your head back and scream at the top of your lungs. Let it all out, all the pain and all the emotion. You really need to be feeling something in order to properly emo scream. This exercise is best done more then once, you might want to have that song on repeat so you can truly feel and practice your emo scream.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can emo scream without music. Just fall to your knees, throw your head back and let out your primal emotion.
  • If you are going to emo scream make sure that you warn your housemates so they do not think you are screaming for your life because you are in some sort of grave danger.
