How to Holistic Massage Your Pregnant Wife

      Position both of your hands flat on her back with both thumbs on one side of the spine area. Start at the lower back in a sliding alternating movement, with thumb over thumb work your way up to her shoulder blade. Now start on the opposite side of the spine at the base of the spine and slide your way up to the shoulder blade on this side.

      Lift her spine. Next, roll her over onto her side. Find her vertebrae or spine area located in her mid-back. Place both of your thumbs, with hands flat, directly underneath the spinal column just a few inches apart from each other. Wait for her to exhale, and then lean forward onto your hands so that her spine lifts slightly from the bed. Stay in this position for three or four breaths, as she inhales again gently release your pressure. Move a few inches lower and repeat steps until you have worked your way down her back.

      Relax those hips. Still on her side, stand by her hip area. Find the area of her upper hips where you feel her vertebrae. Position thumbs on each side of her vertebrae, lean your weight into your arms as you press your thumbs gradually into these two pressure points areas. Next, slowly release the pressure to this area; using this same technique, move farther down the vertebrae. Now make your way up to her sacrum area located at her waist down to her tailbone applying and releasing pressure to help relax her muscles.

      Circle her vertebrae. Starting at her lower back, position your thumbs on both sides of her spine; using circular motions, lean your weight into your thumbs a little and work your way all the way up her spine.

      Sweep up time. Bring all the previous steps together in one big sweep. Using the palms of your hands, lay them flat on your wife’s shoulders and, in a sweeping motion, slowly bring your hands down both sides of her spin and down her back and over her hips. Lift your hands and repeat two or three more times before finishing. She will love you for it.
