How to Transfer Music With AOL Email
Transferring music to your friends for fun or even uploading music to save in email for later use can be difficult if you don't know what to do. Being able to attach music to your email in AOL to send is a simple process that will enable you to send any music file to any email address.

How to transfer music with AOL email

Sign in to your AOL email account so that you have access to sending emails. Go to the top left side of your screen and click on the Write icon to begin writing an email.

Click on the lower left hand corner of your email that says Attach. This will let you add music to your email for sending. A new window will open, and this gives you options as to where to locate the music to send. Most music is automatically saved under C:/Computer/Users and your username. Look now for the folder Music.

Click on the Music folder and this will open all music stored on your computer under your name. Find the song that you want to send in the email and double click on it. This song is now attached to the email. Look in the bottom left corner of your email to ensure that the name of the song is located just above the Attach icon.

Fill in the recipient's name in the Send To box in the upper left hand corner of your email. If you wish to keep a copy for yourself, you can add your email address in the Copy To box in the upper right corner of the email. In the Subject line, you can always put your own personal message, or just type in the name of the song you are sending.

Fill in the Body of the email with any information you were going to send. Now click on Send Now in the upper right hand corner of your email, across from the Copy To box. This sends the email, and a window will pop up that says the file is sending. Once the progress bar has completely filled, the file has been securely sent and is waiting in your recipient's mailbox.

Tips & Warnings
Sending emails to yourself and then saving them in My AOL is a great way to save files that you know you may need later. If you save them in My AOL, you will have access to them as long as you have access to your AOL account and email. The time it will take to upload a song will vary based on your Internet connection or mode of connection.
