Sometimes there are marks that you want to cover on your body, such as a tattoo or scar, but you may not be sure how to do it or what to use. Body makeup is similar to face makeup, but it generally made to be waterproof and smudge-proof. It is just as easy to apply as face makeup.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Light body moisturizer
  • Makeup primer
  • A good leg and body cover cream
  • Fingertips
  • Setting powder
  • Powder puff or large face/body brush
  1. Step 1

Cleanse the area that you need to cover and apply a layer of light moisturizer. Allow the moisturizer to sink in before applying the makeup to the area. If you are planning on swimming, or the area may be prone to sweat, then you may want to apply a good makeup primer to the area instead of using a moisturizer.

  2. Step 2

Take a good leg and body cover cream, such as Dermablend Leg & Body Cover, and begin with a pea-sized amount on your fingertips. Gently apply to the area and tap into the skin using an up and down motion, until it is blended. If more is needed, apply another application.

  3. Step 3

Allow the product to dry and 'set' for four or five minutes once the correct amount is applied and you have blended sufficiently.

  4. Step 4

Apply the appropriate setting powder, or a nicely-matched body powder, to the area. Gently pat on the powder with either a puff or large face/body brush. Wait one or two minutes after applying and then gently brush the remaining powder away, using very light and gentle strokes. Now your makeup should be set and, depending on the brand it is, it should be waterproof as well.
