Cast on your stitches in multiples of 6 in your preferred method of casting on (example: 6 x 4 = 24 stitches).

Row 1: (Right Side) Knit all stitches.

Row 2: Purl all stitches.
Step5
Row 3: Knit 1, Purl 4, Knit 1, repeat these 6 stitches to the end of the row.

Row 4: Purl 1, Knit 4, Purl 1, repeat these 6 stitches to the end of the row.

Row 5: Repeat row 3.
Step8
Row 6: Repeat row 4.

Row 7: Knit all stitches

Row 8: Purl all stitches.

Row 9: Purl 2, Knit 2, Purl 2, repeat these 6 stitches to the end of the row.

Row 10: Knit 2, Purl 2, Knit 2, repeat these 6 stitches to the end of the row.

Row 11: Repeat row 9.

Row 12: Repeat row 10.

Repeat these 12 rows until your piece reaches desired length.

Bind it off, preferably using the basic bind-off.
