How to Make Creamsicle Linen Spray
Linen spray is one of the easiest fragrant products to make in your home and the ingredients used to concoct such a spray cost a fraction of those you can buy in the markets. The creamsicle fragrance created by the combination of orange and vanilla in this recipe is perfect for the summertime and will bring you back to the hot summer days of your youth. Things You'll Need
- Spray bottle
- 25 drops orange essential oil
- 35 drops vanilla essential oil
- Distilled water
- Bowl
- Toothpick
- Refrigerator
- Small funnel

Distill the water. If you’re not using bottled water, you should boil the water. Tap water has a lot of purifiers that will mix with the spray, making it turn rancid faster. Boil water for 10 minutes and let it cool completely before using.

Using a funnel, fill your spray bottle 2/3 full of distilled fresh water.

In a bowl, combine your essential oils. Stick a toothpick into the mixture and smell it. Orange is a more dominant flavor, but you may need to adjust the drops to find the perfect scent. If you like the scent you may proceed, if you would like to adjust it, do that now.

Again, using a funnel, add the essential oil mix to the bottle of water. Screw on the cap and shake well.

Place the bottle in the refrigerator and let it sit for about 24 hours. After letting the mixture cure, you’ll want to test the scent. The scent may change slightly once it has time to sit, so if the fragrance is too light, you can add a few more drops now.

To use, shake the bottle well before spraying a light mist over your sheets, towels and other linens you wish to lightly fragrance. Other good uses for linen spray are on fabric couches and in drawers.

You don’t want your bottle to be completely full, as you need air in the bottle to shake the mixture each time you use it.
