  • Plate

  1. Step 1

Cleanse everything. Clean the area where the altar will reside. Bathe and wear clean clothing.

  2. Step 2

Set your altar facing East, if possible. Place a table or bench against a wall and lay a cloth over it. Place two lamps or candles (unlit) on the table. Set a worship plate with small cups holding the turmeric, camphor and sandal paste on it.

  3. Step 3

Chant with hands together to Maha Ganapati. This assures that there are and will be no obstacles to the ceremony. Also, invoke the God of family for continued protection.

  4. Step 4

Pray to Krishna for protection. Follow by invoking Krishna to receive with reverence.

Close with Pradakrishna. Rotating three times clockwise, recite, "Whatever sins I have committed in all my lives. May all of them be absolved as I circumnambulate in thy worship."
