How to Dry Out a Pimple

A pimple can make your best day an absolute nightmare. Whether the pimple is on your chin, nose, forehead or cheek--you can take comfort in knowing that there is a way to dry it out. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • Exfoliated scrub
  • Pore cleanser
  • Towel
  • Cotton ball
  • Witch Hazel
  • Medicated acne pads

Instructions

    • 1

      Exfoliate your face with a facial scrub. Use both hands to rub the scrub onto your face in a circular motion. Rinse your face once you have scrubbed it.

      Wash your face with a pore cleanser. This will remove clogged dirt and blackheads.

      Use a clean towel to pat your face dry.

      Moisten a cotton ball with witch hazel and apply it to your pimple. It may burn a bit because you've just opened the pores on your face. Witch hazel is a natural astringent that will dry out a pimple quickly and effectively.

      Use medicated acne pads throughout the day to remove oil, dry out your pimple, and prevent acne from occurring.

Tips & Warnings

  • Resist the urge to touch your face. The oils from your fingers are transferred to your face when you pick at a pimple. These oils will only contribute to more pimples.
