How to Make An Unusual Wedding Toss Bouquet

The bouquet toss is a very old tradition. It signifies that the bride is now a married woman and must leave her single life behind. By passing the bouquet, she is passing on the single life and the role of the bride to someone else.Some brides actually throw the bouquet they carried down the aisle, but many others opt to keep that one as a memory and toss a smaller, less expensive, one instead.This version of a toss bouquet is very unusual and will ensure all the single ladies walk away from it with a souvenir of your wedding.

Things You'll Need

• Two dozen silk flowers
• Floral tape
• Ribbon

Instructions

1. Choose flowers that match the flowers in the bridal party or bride's bouquet, but that's not mandatory. Pick out the flowers that you would like to use in the toss bouquet.

2. Take two to four of the flowers and bind the stems together by wrapping the floral tape around them. Use the ribbon to wind around the tape so it looks nice. Make or buy a bow that matches the ribbon and tie that securely to the stems of the little bunch of flowers.

3. Gather in your hands the single flowers, putting the small bunch you tied together in the front of the arrangement. Use a rubber band to secure them together temporarily.

4. Remove the rubber band when you are ready to toss the bouquet. Keep the flowers held tightly in your hand so you are the only one who knows the flowers are loose. Throw the bouquet and watch as the girls scramble to collect the loose, falling flowers. Of course, the girl who catches the small bunch with the ribbon will be the one considered the winner of the toss, but all the girls will walk away with a flower.
