How to Make Authentic Bruschetta

Italians use fresh ingredients to create succulent yet simple food. This recipe is easy to make and healthy. Serve as an appetizer or as part of an Italian meal.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 loaf of Italian bread, preferably with a hard crust
  • 1/2 to 1 pint of grape tomatoes
  • 1 to 2 cloves garlic, chopped finely
  • Fresh or dried basil, to taste
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  1. Step 1

    Combine all ingredients in a small bowl, except for Italian bread. Use enough olive oil to slightly cover the ingredients. Let stand for 15 minutes to allow flavors to infuse.

  2. Step 2

    Slice and toast Italian bread. Place desired amount of bruschetta mixture on each slice of toasted bread and serve immediately.

  3. Step 3
