How to Save Money with Simple Changes

We have all heard people say that it is the little things that add up and cost big... I would like to share with you some simple changes to help you save.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Cut back on eating out, take out and drinks on the go. Instead of buying coffee each morning, make it at home and bring it with you in a travel mug. With gas prices rising, restaurants have also increased their prices. Make a list of some of your favorite meals and make them at home. Consider a brown bag lunch for work instead of eating out. If you will be traveling, bring snacks and your own bottled water to save on those pit stops.
Step2
Order iced water with lemon instead of soft drinks at restaurants. Soft drinks, iced teas and other non-alcoholic beverages cost an average of $2 per glass.
Step3
How often do you schedule your hair appointments? Increase the wait between appointments by even a week to decrease the cost over the year. Instead of a wash and cut, consider skipping the wash to save even more.
Step4
When grocery shopping, try store brands to increase your savings. On those items that you must have the brand name, pay attention to coupons and sales and stock up.
Step5
Magazine subscriptions are definitely less expensive than buying each issue at the store. The cost of several magazine subscriptions can still be costly and what happens with the magazine once it is read? Consider getting together with a friend or family member, with similar interests, and sharing magazines. It is a great way to recycle and save.
