Ever been in a hurry to get dinner done, yet you wanted just a "bit" more? Maybe unexpected company comes and you want to do a bit more, but don't really have the time? Then here's your answer! I learned this from my first mother-in-law...she was the Queen of quick dishes...Enjoy!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • One can of Mushroom Soup
  • Meat drippings
  • Some Garlic and Onion Powder

Step1
Using the pan you fried your meat up in, just drain off the extra meat fat...say leaving 1/4 cup.
Step2
Open and add in the Mushroom soup, sprinkling over a bit of onion and garlic powder. Add a bit of water and - Viola! You're done. Stir and Serve.
Step3
Feel free to add another can of soup if needed, depending on how many guests you have to serve that evening.

I think you'll be surprised at how tasty this really is! It's amazing that you could turn mushroom soup into such a good dish! (Pssst: I think it has a lot to do with the onion & garlic that you added! Shhhhh... ;-D)

Tips & Warnings

  • Stir up the "cracklings" from the bottom of your pan, and always make it in the same pan that you fried up the meat in for that very same reason. The only exception to this would be if you burned the meat at ALL, you don't want to do this then...then I would suggest pouring off the useable fat, and getting rid of the rest, because you getting rid of that burned flavor is a hard thing to do. :)
  • Since onion powder is "milder" than garlic powder, you should add more onion powder THAN garlic for a tastier dish. (To your taste, of course!)
