    **Mute the announcers**

First, turn on the baseball game and mute the sound. Realize that you don't need to listen to those announcers go on and on incessantly about the baseball game. Remember, you want to watch the game, not listen to it. Purchase potato chips, your favorite soft drink and a good book. Yes, I said a good book. You see baseball is a thinking man's game and there is a lot of downtime. You need something to do between pitches and between innings.

  2. Step 2

    **Get other things done**

During the commercials, get up and wash some clothes. Sometimes I start dinner while I am watching a game or I will clean up the house. As you watch the pitcher throw the baseball keep an eye on the score and what inning it is. If something exciting happens then you can stop whatever you are doing and listen to the announcers explain what happened.

  3. Step 3
    STRIKE ONE.

Keep score of the baseball game. Purchase a score book from a book store. Have fun watching the baseball game and listen to it on the radio. Depending on the live feed sometime you can know what will happen first before the game. Invite friends over of opposing teams. Mets fans can invite Yankees fans and have a great time.
