How to Organize Entryway Storage of Hats, Gloves, and Mittens

Here's a cute and low-budget way to make your entryway look organized and pulled together and at the same time make it easy for the kids to find their hats, gloves, scarves and mittens. Does this Spark an idea?

  • Hooks with screws
  • Tote bags
  • Screwdriver

Instructions

    • 1

      Purchase and install cute hooks that go with the theme of your entryway and home. Get one for each member of the family, or at least one for each child. These can be color coordinated with the home decor or according to the child's favorite color.

      Purchase or make a canvas tote bag for each child or family member. These should match the appropriate hook.

    • 3

      Hang each tote bag from its matching hook.

    • 4

      Fill each tote bag with gloves, mittens, scarves and hats.

Tips & Warnings

  • Personalize the tote bags with each child's name

  • Hang the hooks low so that children can reach them to get totes off and on

  • If you're in a real hurry, grab the tote and take it with you!!

  • Assign one of the hooks and tote for car games and activities for kids and grab it and go as you walk out the door
