Study hard!

When finals come around, or you've got a big test to study for during the year, nothing has the effectiveness of a good study group. This is coming from a lone-studier--I like to study by myself, but a good study group session? Hard to beat. Do both and get the A!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Focus
  • Padfolio
  • Materials i.e. books, calc, etc.
  • Warm cookies
  • single bottled water
  1. Step 1

This is the gutsy part: in class, turn to your fellow students and suggest a study group. People will often jump at the idea. If not, simply say that you'll be at the library on ________day at ____am/pm if anyone would like to join.

  2. Step 2

Get your materials together. You don't want to go all the way to your campus library only to remember your literary novel for ENG401 is on the kitchen counter. Get all your materials ready.

  3. Step 3

Bake cookies. Warm, chocolate chip cookies. The ready-made pack is only about $3 --college budget and delectable. Bring cookies with you in plate or container, and cover to keep warm.

  4. Step 4

Uncover the cookies and share them with all. Each student will be grateful, I promise.

  5. Step 5

Have a plan of attack on what your studying: whether it be by chapter or section: Review, quiz yourselves, review again. Do this with each chapter. If you're working Math, split up the problems.

  6. Step 6

Enjoy your study-time and new friends!

Tips & Warnings
  • It's proven that munching on something--let alone delicious cookies, helps you focus.
  • Make your cookies open to the study group next to your table too.
  • Chocolate chip is a good start, if you prefer more than one kind, more power to you.
  • Don't worry about drinks, people usually have their own bottled water.
  • Don't forget to study!
  • To really better your shot at getting an A+ study both by yourself and in a group.
