INGREDIENTS:
1 cup solid shortening
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 Tablespoon milk
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda -
Step 2
In a mixing bowl combine shortening, salt and peanut butter. Mix well. Add sugar, brown sugar, eggs and milk. Mix until combined. Add flour and baking soda and beat well.

Step 3
Drop dough from teaspoon onto greased baking sheets. Press slightly with fork and flatten a bit to make attractive ridged tops. Bake in a 325 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes.

Allow to cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
