Things You'll Need:
- A Computer (of course!)
- Notepad or any text editor program
- Your ability to type and understand
- Your saved HTML file (the one we used on Part 1)
-
Step 1
Locate your HTML file and double click to open it on a web browser. After that, go to VIEW > SOURCE to open your web page’s codes on a Notepad. Here you can view, edit and save any changes that you will make for your codes. Leave your browser window opened so that it will be easy for you to see the effects or changes you’ve made.
-
Step 2
First, I’ll teach you how to make your texts stand out by making it boldface, italic or underlined. Follow the instructions in the image. After you have inserted the tag on your text, press CTRL + S on your keyboard to save the changes you have made on your code. From now on, remember this shortcut so that when I say save your work, you already know what to do. When you’re done saving, refresh your browser window to see the results.
-
Step 3
Another way to make your texts stand out is changing the size of your text using the big and small tags. Please follow the instructions in the image. Notice that I already changed the content so that you’ll see the difference of these tags. Again, save your work and refresh your browser.
-
Step 4
Lastly, this is how to center the contents or elements on your page. Refer to the image and save your work when done.
-
Step 5
Remember that this is only the basics in formatting texts and contents on your web page, as we move on to advanced part tutorials, you’ll learn more about formatting by using additional attributes to your tags. This is the end of my second tutorial for HTML. In the next part, I’ll teach you how to put and edit images for your web page. Keep your work and remember that you can download the images I used in this tutorial. Thank you and see you again next time! =)
