Making a great cup of coffee isn't neccessarily an easy task at first try. However, with time and experience, you will be enjoying excellent coffee with little effort.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Whole Coffee Beans
  • Cold Filtered Water
  • Coffee Bean Grinder
  • French Press
  1. Step 1

A good way to start is to grind the coffee beans. A robust dark roast will make an excellent and rich tasting cup of coffee. If you're going to use a french press, which I would recommend, the coffee should be a course ground. If the coffee is too finely ground, the coffee will come out thick and gritty. Course ground coffee will produce the best end result.

  2. Step 2

Next, bring cold filtered water to a boil. Allow the water to cool slightly so it's not at a rolling boil when poured into the french press.

  3. Step 3

Remove the lid of the french press. Add course coffee grounds to the bottom of the french press. Carefully pour the hot water into the french press onto the coffee grounds.

  4. Step 4

Wait about 5 minutes for the coffee to brew. Carefully stir the mixture with a spoon. Don't use a metal spoon as it might break the glass of the press. Carefully insert the press into the glass container. Gently push the press down. This will squeeze the grounds to the bottom.

  5. Step 5

Carefully pour the coffee into a mug. Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • 2 table spoons of coffee grounds are recommended for each cup of water.
  • Be careful when using the french press as it may become very hot and could cause a burn.
