How to Grill the Best Mahi Mahi

This article will teach you the secret of making the best grilled Mahi or fish for that matter.

Things You'll Need

  • Grill
  • Charcoal
  • Lawrys Lemon Pepper
  • Mahi Filets
  • Mayonaise
  • Light charcoal grill and wait until coals are white

  • Coat Mahi filets with a light coat of real mayonnaise

  • Generously sprinkle Mahi filets with Lemon Pepper. I use Lawrys but any brand may be sufficient.

  • Place FRESH Mahi Filets on Charcoal Grill and cover with room for smoke to vent. Let stay on one side for about 5 minutes.

  • Flip Mahi ONLY ONE TIME and let the other side cook for an additional 5 minutes. The more you flip the fish the more likely it is to break.

  • Serve Mahi with either Lemon or tartar sauce. I like it straight up with some lemon. It is a delicious fish.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure the filets are fresh and you flip once. The mayonaise is the trick here.
  • Never use charcoal in an enclosed area.
