Family gatherings and friends getting together for grilling is a Fourth of July tradition! Follow these simple tips for a safe and fun holiday!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Common Sense

Step1
Never allow young children to play with fireworks! Children do not understand the danger sparklers pose. Sparklers burn at 1800 degrees--which melts gold!
Step2
Light fireworks outdoors in a clear area away from houses, dry leaves or grass.
Step3
Do not try to relight or handle malfunctioning fireworks. Douse and soak them with water and throw them away. Keep a bucket of water nearby for emergencies.
Step4
Store fireworks in a dry, cool place!

Tips & Warnings

  • Remember to check your city or town's laws to see if fireworks are legal.
  • Attend a city-wide fireworks display
  • Fireworks kill and maim people every year.
  • Don't become this year's statistic!
