How to Find Out How Much Memory Your Computer Has

Random Access Memory provides a faster location than a hard drive to keep operating system files, programs and data. When you open a new program or file, it is loaded into RAM for faster access. The amount of RAM in your system determines how many programs and files you can have open at once. Certain RAM intensive programs, such as image and video editing software, or games, require systems to have a specific minimum amount of RAM to work properly.
