RAM, or Random Access Memory, is the place on your PC where its operating system, programs and data that are currently in use are kept. From here, the computer's processor can easily reach them. Read on to learn how you can find out how much memory your computer has.

  1. Step 1

    Click on your "Start" button.

  2. Step 2

    Right-click on "My Computer." Click on "Properties."

  3. Step 3

    Click on the "General" tab. The amount of RAM that your PC has will be displayed in this window in either megabytes (MB) or gigabytes (GB).
