You can get celebrity hair looks at home with a few well kept secrets of industry insiders.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Wash and condition hair as normal.

  2. Step 2

Pour a dime size drop of vegetable oil into the palm of your hand. Rub into palms as you would lotion and then apply to your hair. Start at the back of your head and continue to the front. This amount may need to be adjusted for shorter or longer hair but after doing this a few times, you will be able to judge the proper amount of vegetable oil to use.

  3. Step 3

Dry hair as normal. If you have an ionic hair dryer, I highly recommend them but otherwise, continue to dry your hair as normal. Be patient, your celebrity hair looks are just a few steps away!

  4. Step 4

As your hair dries, you should notice that it is very shiny and manageable. If your hair is a bit greasier than you would prefer, apply a bit of face powder to your hands and rub it through your hair. This will absorb the excess oil and add an instant jolt of manageability to your hair. For darker hair, a darker shade of face powder is recommended but not a must.

  5. Step 5

The face powder adds an immediate gleam to your hair and depending upon the shade of powder used and the shade of your hair adds a touch of highlights. Have you ever wondered how actresses get that shiny, manageable red carpet hair? This is the easiest way to get celebrity hair looks.

  6. Step 6

Once you have your hair at the desired level of shine and manageability, style as usual. The reason that this works so well to give you that Hollywood celebrity hair look is because "dirty" hair holds a style and actually appears much healthier than hair that is washed daily. This process gives you the best of both worlds and allows you to have beautiful hair that will hold it's style all day (or night) long.

  7. Step 7

Finish your style off with a fine mist of TRESemme' aerosol hair spray. The reason that I recommend this particular hair spray is because it does not contain water which can cause naturally curly hair to become frizzy. TRESemme' hair spray will hold your hair for several hours and protect your celebrity hair looks on humid days.

Tips & Warnings
  • Experiment a few times before using these tips on an important night.
  • The amount of vegetable oil used can vary from person to person.
  • Dark face powder is recommended for darker hair shades.
