  1. Step 1

    Ingredients:

    Venison ribs
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    2 Tablespoons corn starch
    2/3 cup vinegar
    1/2 cup ketchup
    2 Tablespoons soy sauce
    2/3 cup brown sugar
    2 teaspoons dry mustard powder
    1 can crushed pineapple, undrained
    1/4 cup onion, chopped

  2. Step 2

    Salt and pepper ribs. In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown ribs in oil on all sides.

  3. Step 3

    Place large oven cooking bag in a shallow baking dish. Place browned ribs inside cooking bag.

  4. Step 4

    In a mixing bowl combine corn starch, vinegar, ketchup, soy sauce, brown sugar, mustard powder, undrained crushed pineapple and onion. Pour mixture into cooking bag over venison ribs. Following the package directions, close cooking bag.

  5. Step 5

    Bake at 325 degrees 2 to 3 hours, or until ribs are tender and meat falls off the bone.

Tips & Warnings
  • To remove some of the "gamey" flavor of venison, soak in a mixture of salt and water. Place in the refrigerator and soak overnight. Drain and cook as directed.
  • This recipe may be prepared in a slow cooker instead of the oven. After browning the ribs, place in slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 6 to 8 hours.
