With a venison roast, some vegetables, and a can of cola you can enjoy a full meal prepared right in your slow cooker. Simple and delicious!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Ingredients as listed
  • Crock pot
  • 6 to 8 hours to cook
Step1
Ingredients:

1 venison roast
1 12-ounce can regular Cola (not diet)
1 medium onion, diced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 15-ounce can small whole potatoes
2 cups fingerling carrots
1 4-ounce can mushrooms
Step2
Rinse roast with water and place in the crock pot. Add onion, Cola, salt and pepper. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours.
Step3
Remove lid from crock pot and add potatoes, carrots and mushrooms. Cover and let entire meal cook for 2 to 4 hours longer. Meat will fall apart when ready.

Tips & Warnings

  • To remove some of the "gamey" taste from the venison, soak it in salted water in the refrigerator overnight. Drain and prepare as directed above.
  • This recipe also works well with a boneless beef roast.
