Swaddle a Baby
Swaddle a Baby

Babies love to be wrapped tight and kept cozy! Here is an easy way to often calm a fussy and tired little one!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cute baby, preferably tired!
  • Nice, large blanket
  1. Step 1

Place your baby in the upper left hand corner of the blanket at a diagonal.

  2. Step 2

Holding his or her arms down by their sides, roll baby towards the left, pulling the left corner of the blanket to the right over and across him or her.

  3. Step 3

The baby will now be half wrapped lying on its back.

  4. Step 4

Now take bottom corner and pull up over feet so they are kept cozy and warm.

  5. Step 5

Pull right hand corner of blanket over and across baby, and then tuck it around the back and underneath baby so he or she is lying on top of it.

  6. Step 6

Now baby is completely wrapped. Make sure to fold back top portion of blanket around the face, almost like a collar, so that your baby can get plenty of air to breathe and move their head freely.

  7. Step 7

Snuggle your cozy and happy baby!

Tips & Warnings
  • Rectangular blankets that are medium weight work the best. If too bulky or slippery of material is used then the swaddled blanket won't hold that long and will come undone.
  • Make sure baby has blanket folded down enough to get plenty of air!
