How to Teach iKids
"iKids" is the term given to this generation of kids who walk around with iPods on, watch more YouTube than TV, play video games too complex for adults to understand, and are more computer efficient than most teachers. Teaching iKids can be challenging, but using these tips can make it easier.

1
Give the students the option of emailing you their assignments. Make sure you ask for everything in pdf format to avoid any Mac/PC problems or problems stemming from having different versions of Word, for example.
-
2
Teach using as many technology tools as possible, including Smart Boards and Elmos. Nothing grabs the attention of iKids like technology, so you might as well use it to your advantage.
-
-
3
Place your lectures or practice exams on iPods for the kids to listen to at their leisure.
-
4
Place the class syllabus and homework assignments online.
-
5
Place your lectures or classroom demonstrations on YouTube.com for the kids to view.
