The 5 Minute Morning Routine - Every morning when you first wake up, before you have even gotten out of bed, reach for a small notebook and start journalling. Write whatever comes into your head, and DON'T self-edit it. This is a powerful tool for enhanced creativity and awareness. After five minutes, put down the pen and begin your morning as usual.
Step2
The 2 Minute Inner Child - Allow yourself two minutes of everyday to indulge your inner child. Blow bubbles, play with sidewalk chalk, color with crayons, or dance to some music.
Step3
The 3 Minute Reflection - At the end of each day, take at least 3 minutes to reflect on your creative process. What themes or patterns are emerging from your daily journal? What further steps are necessary to take that great idea to the next level?
Tips & Warnings
You may find the same ideas keep popping up again and again in your daily journal. Don't ignore them, as it is a sign that it is time to take action.

Great tips! I carry a small journal with me and doodle in it while I'm waiting for appointments, etc. Yes, I could carry my laptop and write articles instead, but I find that the downtime refreshes me and I get back from my errands feeling ready to work again.
