Step 1
If you have a forum that you regularly visit other than ehow, try putting the url from your best article (or your article page) inside your siggy.
-
Step 2
Don't be afraid to advertise, tell a friend, tell a few friends. The more views an article has the more views it's gonna get.
-
Step 3
Interlinking. Ehow let's you have friends which can be a really excellent thing. If you and a friend both have similar articles simply ask your friend to post a link to your article at the bottom of theirs (and you do the same). This will share some of your friends raffic and some of your traffic which will get you both more views.
(if you find an article similar to yours but that person isn't a friend...add them you can never have too many friends or interlinks. Make sure all your friends know you like to interlink so that when they write an article similar to yours you don't have to find it and ask them.) -
Step 4
This is probably the most important step.
Take a break. Most people especially when they start try to write as many atricles as possible. Don't force it. If you have articles write them. If you don't have an article idea then don't try and force it or nothing will come to you. Instead you can edit previous articles to make them better, you can go to the community forums (this is a good place to talk to people and advertise a little), best of all though (i find) if you take a break hop off your computer and do something else sometimes an article idea will come to you.

on 8/6/2008 All very good advice. I agree that some writers just throw up articles for the sake of having articles. Waiting for an idea for a good quality article is worthwhile. Quality vs quantity. If in doubt, go to bed and keep a notepad by the bed, my best ideas come in the middle of the night!
