Things You'll Need:
- business clothes
- two pair of shoes
- suitcases
- other items mentioned in this article

Step 1
ALWAYS have a carry on bag with one day's supplied in it: razor, hairbrush, medications, clothes. Be sure you have all of your identification and credit cards with you. You never know when your luggage could be misplaced or left behind by the airline. Place business cards and a good book in both your carry on and checked baggage. Also have a map and tourist information in addition to your business schedule. Don't just fly in and fly out. make some time to see the local attractions.
Depending on the length of your travel, pack to use as few suits as possible with a variety of shirts/blouses, scarves and ties to mix and match and appear to have several suits. Pack one pair of shoes only in addition to the ones you are wearing. Women, pack several broaches, pendants, etc. to change up the looks of your clothes which will change your overall appearance greatly. -
Step 2
In addition to the usual toiletries you pack, add a miniature sewing kit which may or may not be in your hotel room, but you don't want to get there and not have one. Also place the new travel size bottles of Febreeze in a plastic bag to freshen your clothes and shoes at the end of each day. Pack a couple of dryer sheets open in your suitcase to defend against travel and hotel odors. They also come in handy for static cling problems you may encounter. It is good to store them inside your shoes and they will accomplish two tasks at one time. Pack a miniature umbrella just in case you need it.

Step 3
Make Business Travel More Fun - Be Prepared for AnythingAlways pack a trusty travel alarm clock. Yes, every hotel has alarm clocks and wake up calls. However, is it worth the risk of missing an important business trip or a flight home if they fail to operate correctly? I doubt it. Pack a pad and pen regardless of how many others you have. Pack all possible medications you could possibly need to treat any unforseen illness you may experience: Advil, Tums, Imodium, alcohol pads, Neosporin, band aids, etc. Be like a good Boy or Girl Scout - prepared for anything.

on 6/22/2008 My purse was stolen two months ago while taking a bus and a taxi to the airport. I had more luggage than my five foot one stature could manage. Luckily, I was also carrying a larger purse on my arm with my I.D. and some cash was in my pant's pocket. I did have to replace my debit card. The airfare was already paid for and I was on my way home. I hsve no idea how my purse was stolen.
