Flirting is as natural as anything else people do. It is fun, can brighten up a boring day, and it is essential to determine who are our suitable partners. Whether you are in a long term relationship, or single, knowing how to flirt will put excitement in your relationship or life. So have fun!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Do it because it's fun. Sometimes flirting is just that. Don't feel obligated to do so, and don't expect to get a date out of it. Also, be careful who you're flirting with. If you spot a person who has company, avoid flirtatious behavior, as that could get you in trouble.
Step2
Read the person's body language. It is important that they look approachable and open to flirting. For example, a person with a serious face and crossed arms may not be as open to flirting as a person that looks more relaxed, with open body language. Some other signals are that the person turns to you when talking to you, when sitting, their knees are pointing towards you.
Step3
Make eye contact. How annoying is it to talk to someone when they aren't making any eye contact? The same goes for flirting. If you're flirting with someone and they don't make any eye contact, it's a sign that you should move on.

Now, when you're trying to flirt with someone from across the room, don't stare. The best eye contact is a quick gaze and a discreet smile.
Step4
Start a conversation and give the other person your full attention. The conversation can be about anything. Your surroundings, the weather, a current news event (but make sure it's not politically/religiously charged).
Gauge the person's response. If they reciprocate with just a yes or not, it may be that they are not that interested on flirting with you.
Step5
The most important is, try not to consciously flirt. This will add pressure to the situation, and make you seem less genuine.

Tips & Warnings

  • Watch for an open and receptive body language.
  • Especially for women, compliments go a long way.
