Girls love to have decorated flip flops. Decorated flip flops are a great way to show your team spirit or use them as a fundraiser.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Rubber flip flops
  • Scissors
  • 1/4 yard of fabric in your choice of color/design.
  • Other assorted gems or artificial flowers
  1. Step 1

Cut fabric into strips approximately 1/2 wide by 3 inches long. You can either cut your fabric as you go or cut several pieces to get you started. Each pair of flip flops will vary as to how many fabric strips it will need.

  2. Step 2

Simply start tying and knotting the fabric around the plastic piece that goes between your toes and up over your foot. It is best to start at the back of this piece of plastic and work your way forward.

  3. Step 3

Continue to add fabric pieces until the plastic piece is covered. Colors of fabric can be mixed to show your team spirit or to match a favorite summer outfit.

  4. Step 4

Additional decorations can be added such as artificial flowers or decorative crystals. These can either be applied by hand sewing them onto the fabric pieces or using a hot glue gun.

Tips & Warnings
  • Buy flip flops in colors that compliment the fabric that will be used.
  • This is a great activity for a sleep over
  • Make several pairs of flip flops in your teams colors and sell them as a team fundraiser.
  • Always use caution when using scissors or a hot glue gun.
