Make a list of your the car parts you have to sell that you know still work. Your list should include the name of the part, how long it was used, and what make, model and year the part is compatible with.

Place a FREE ad for your parts in your local swap/trade guide or magazine. Include all essential information from list.

Place a FREE ad for your part on Craigslist. Include all essential information from list.

Post FREE messages on forums for the same make of car. Tell them what you have and give essential information from your list. Ask potential buyers to send you a private message for more info.

If you have a number of parts to sell, open an eBay store. List your parts in the store with all essential information from your list. This is not free, but a lot more people will see it.
Step6
Check want ads in trade/swap guides and your local paper. Check "Parts Wanted" sections of auto forums and websites.
Tips & Warnings
If working with a large number of parts, tag and catalog them to keep track.
Check salvage yards for comparable pricing.
Keep parts protected from environment in plastic to prevent weather damage.
Don't ship parts to anyone until you have received payment.
Accept personal checks at your own risk. At least wait until the check has cleared to deliver the part.
