How to make a delicious cherry crisp

Nothing tastes better than a warm, cherry crisp with a scoop of vanilla ice cream to delight your family or guests. Enjoy making this very easy recipe and serving it up warm and tasty.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • For 9 Servings
  • 1 can of cherry pie filling (21 oz.)
  • 1/2 cup original Bisquick or flour
  • 1/2 cup quick cooking oats
  • 1/4 cup firm butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  1. Step 1

    Prep time is 10 minutes
    Heat oven to 350 degrees. In ungreased 8 inch pan, spread the pie filling. In medium bowl, mix Bisquick or flour, brown sugar and oats. Cut in butter or margarine, using pastry blender, until crumbly. Stir in chocolate chips and spoon this evenly over pie filling.

  2. Step 2

    Bake 30-35 minutes or until very bubbly around the edges. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. If you use 3/4 cups Bisquick or flour, bake for 35-40 minutes.

  3. Step 3

    Variations:
    *Strawberry or raspberry pie filling
    *Double the recipe and bake in a 13x9 pan for a real crowd pleaser
    *Use a dollop of whipped cream instead of ice cream
