A bikini is very important for a girl to have during the summer, and accessorizing one will make you the cutest girl at the beach or pool. Read on to find out how to accessorize a bikini.

From Quick Guide: Swimsuits 101
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Flip-flops
  • Cap, visor or sun hat
  • Bikini cover-up, sarong or sari
  • Beach tote
  • Hair-tie or headband

    Accessorizing a Bikini

  1. Step 1

Find flip-flops or sandals that complement your bikini. For example, if your bikini is the traditional beige and brown check print, your footwear should be either beige, black or brown. If the check pattern is pink, your footwear should be light pink, white or clear.

  2. Step 2

Choose a sun hat or cap that matches your bikini. The best choice would be either a raffia hat, which would match with any color suit, or a cap or visor that correspond with the color scheme of your bikini. This is a great way to accessorize a bikini.

  3. Step 3

Pick a flattering beach cover-up. The most attractive choice would be something simple and in a solid color so as not to distract from your bikini. A sarong or sari in white or black would flatter any style swimsuit.

  4. Step 4

Get a beach tote. A roomy beach tote is a must-have for all the necessary beach items like sunblock, magazines, etc. The tote should be simple yet stylish. It should also be in the same overall color scheme as your swimsuit.

  5. Step 5

Pull your hair back in a stylish ponytail with a hair-tie. Alternatively, you can style your hair with either a checkered headband, or a solid-colored headband that complements your swimsuit.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can further accessorize a bikini with some delicate and simple jewelry such as gold bangles or stud earrings.
