  1. Step 1

Study. If you want to be great, you need to realize that racquetball is a thinking person's game. So, read all of the racquetball books you can get your hands on and then apply the lessons you have learned.

  2. Step 2

Practice all the time. In order to become a great player, you need to be playing racquetball at least 5 times a week. If you can play every day, that would be even better.

  3. Step 3

Master your touch. Touch shots may seem like just a part of the game, but in racquetball it is the touch shots that really determine a point's winner. So, learn to be a great touch shot hitter and you'll be well on your way to becoming great.

  4. Step 4

Make your backhand just as good as your forehand. One of the chief strategies employed by most racquetball players is to constantly play to their opponent's backhand, because for most players that's a weakness. To combat this, shore up your backhand and make it as strong as your forehand.

  5. Step 5

Be unpredictable. Good players will key in on any pattern you have and begin to exploit it. So, to become a great racquetball player, play a versatile style. This will always keep your opponents on their toes and should really help your game a lot.
